The Trip....
Hubby and I got back last night from our trip to Murphy, North Carolina. We drove....hubby is not much on flying. Is was a long trip, over 2100 miles. My brother, his wife, Liz and the newest addition to the Miller family, Jasmin arrived in Murphy on Tuesday, as did we. My sister arrived on Thursday. We were able to meet Liz and Jasmin face to face for the first time.
Norther Carolina was lush and green...flowers were in bloom, it was really gorgeous. Here's some photos I took while I was there....
Ocoee Canon and River...near flood stage. There are 3 Hydro plants along the river, on our return trip the river was down significantly.
This is some of the gardens that surrounded Dad and Shirley's home. Shirley is a Master Gardener and it shows....their grounds are wonderful and peaceful. In the bottum photo (although difficult to make out) to the right on the swing is a chicken coop. Shirley has 3 Guinea hens which keep the bugs down....she also has about 12 or so chickens...so we had fresh eggs every morning we were there.
Below are just some of the flowers that appear in their yard.
So what better place to build a deck? We spent a lot of hours visiting on this deck. That's Jerry, Shirley and my Pop. Shirley was the person that got me interested in doll making. She stills has molds, kiln, as supplies hanging around just like a good dollmaker.
This is my little Rose, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Rose is 12 1/2 years old.
Oh my.....I almost forgot - Mr. Tree. I have no idea if that's is his name or not....but Mr Tree seems to suit him.
Jazmin (Jaz), Shirley, Pop, my sister Robin, me and Brother Jack, the family calls him Duke.

The Nottley River runs directly behind Pop's house.
Pop taking a little snooze on the deck.....he's looks pretty good for 90.
Shirley and my Rose.....Rose was totally relaxed, can you tell? This is my little Rose, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Rose is 12 1/2 years old.

A few more girls....
I nicknamed these girls "The Brunettes" for obvious reasons.....but also because it helps decribe them. These girls are antique reproductions, but I like to include them in the Bleuette family because they work so well with Bleuette, especially since all three are on Bleuette bodies. All have been listed in my online store www.thedollladyinc.com From left to right, Bru Shandele', Jumeau Arielle, and Alette and Unmarked Belton.

New website....
After being told on Easter morning that The Marketplace....where I parked my online store was closing...panic was the first order of business. Once 'panic' settled it's ugly head down, hubby and I went searching for a new home base and I now have a new website. The web address is old www.thedollladyinc.com but the store has a new look and a new place to park. It took me several days to build the basic store and get it up and running, but it's there and it looks wonderful. (Even if I do say so myself) I still have work to do in the "supply" category of the store, but everything else is there. I was able to add a "Gallery" of adopted kids to this store which, so far, seems to be a favorite place to sit and look through photos. A nice photo feature that people are enjoying is the ability so enlarge the photos...I hope you take a look.....and let me know what you think and don't forgot to click on the photos to see things up close and personal! Making some new girls...I'll be posting those in the next 10 days.....Later!

Aiko and Akio
I'm so excited about this new mold I received recently. Once I finished putting Aiko together, I grab my "stash" and starting going through outfits to find the perfect little dress and found these 2 outfits. That changed things a little......I just had to make a brother and sister. Aiko (beloved) and Akio (bright boy) are adorable together. They are own compostion bodies, stand 11 3/8 inches tall. They wear Bleuette clothing, shoe size is 37mm. I will listing them very some in my online store,

Well, here she is and so sweet too......Benjamine was Bleuette's first sibling. She was introduced in 1926 but her young
life came to a short end in 1929 when Gautier-Langereau retired this little
sweetheart. Not because she wasn't loved, but another dollmaker had patented the
name.
Benjamine is the same size as Bambino, 9 7/8 inches. She is wearing an adorable outfit, suitable for warm or cooler weather. She has a hooded cape, booties and short overalls. Benjamine has beautiful hard glass blue eyes, multi-stroke brows, painted lower lashes and applied upper mohair lashes. She has a short, curly mohair wig from Bravot of France. Benjamine is on a composition baby body. You can find additonal photos in my online store.......thedollladyinc.com

She has gorgeous blue eyes, a lovely pale blond mohair wig and that wonderful 301 smile. She has been listed in my online store.....you may view additional photos there. My next little girl will be a new and different.....someone I've never made before....her outfit and body are on the way to me....be sure to check back in a few days.
